Job summary

Moonwalk Recruitment Solutions is partnering with leading investment banking platforms in Frankfurt and Munich to hire Associate, Senior Associate and Vice President level professionals. You’ll work on high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions across Germany and Europe, taking ownership in deal execution and collaborating with senior bankers and corporate clients.

Qualifications

• 3-4+ years of relevant Investment Banking/M&A experience for Associate, 4-6 years for Senior Associate and 6+ years for Vice President.
• Strong track record on live M&A and corporate finance transactions.
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
• Experience managing transaction workstreams and junior team members at senior levels.
• Strong commercial judgment and understanding of transaction dynamics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; confident with senior clients.

Responsibilities

• Execute M&A, capital raising and corporate finance transactions from pitch to close.
• Own transaction execution and coordinate key workstreams across deal process.
• Build, manage and review financial models, valuations, DCFs and comps.
• Prepare and oversee pitch books, teasers, information memoranda and management presentations.
• Work directly with senior management, corporates, private equity firms and sponsors.
• Coordinate due diligence, external advisers and other stakeholders.
• Support origination, pitching and business development activities.
• Develop client relationships and mentor Analysts and junior Associates.

We are currently working with leading investment banking platforms in Frankfurt and Munich that are looking to strengthen their teams with experienced Associate, Senior Associate and Vice President level professionals.

The roles offer the opportunity to work on high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions across Germany, the DACH region and wider European markets, take increasing ownership in deal execution, and work closely with senior bankers, corporate clients, private equity firms and financial sponsors. The mandates are generalist, giving exposure across a broad range of sectors.

What you’ll be doing

• Execute M&A, capital raising and corporate finance transactions from initial pitch through signing and closing
• Take ownership of transaction execution and coordinate key workstreams across the deal process
• Build, manage and review financial models, valuations, DCFs and comparable company and precedent transaction analyses
• Prepare and oversee pitch books, teasers, information memoranda and management presentations
• Work directly with senior management teams, corporates (including Mittelstand and family-owned businesses), private equity firms and financial sponsors
• Coordinate due diligence processes, external advisers and other transaction stakeholders
• Support senior bankers in origination, pitching and broader business-development activities
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Manage, mentor and develop Analysts and junior Associates (Senior Associate and Vice President level)

What we’re looking for

• Strong track record of working on live M&A and corporate finance transactions
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities
• Experience managing transaction workstreams and, at senior levels, junior team members
• Strong commercial judgment and understanding of transaction dynamics
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Confidence interacting directly with senior clients and decision-makers
• Native or fluent German (mandatory) and fluent English
• Background from a leading investment bank, M&A boutique or corporate finance advisory firm
