Who is Hiring in München sucht eine/n Investment Banking Associate für Mid-Market M&A. Sie arbeiten eng mit Senior Bankern an Pitchs, Origination und Mandantenbetreuung und wirken über den gesamten Transaktionszyklus mit.

Die Rolle verlangt 3–5 Jahre relevante M&A-Erfahrung, exzellente finanzielle Modellierung, Bewertungskompetenz und fließendes Deutsch sowie Englisch. Internationales Arbeiten und proaktiver Beitrag zu Transaktionen gehören dazu.

Qualifications

• Umfassende Erfahrung in M&A bzw. Investment Banking oder vergleichbarer Beratung.
• Erfahrung mit laufenden Sell-Side- und/oder Buy-Side-Transaktionen.
• Fundierte Finanzmodellierung, Bewertungs- und Analysefähigkeiten.
• Solides Verständnis des M&A-Prozessablaufs und Erstellung von Materialien.
• Sicherer Umgang mit Kunden, Investoren und Beratern.
• Eigenständige Übernahme von Teil-Workstreams und Transaktionsmanagement.

Responsibilities

• Unterstützung und Steuerung von M&A-Transaktionen vom ersten Entwurf bis Signing und Closing.
• Erstellung von Finanzmodellen, Unternehmensbewertungen und Transaktionsanalysen.
• Durchführung detaillierter Recherchen zu Unternehmen, Sektoren und Märkten.
• Vorbereitung hochwertiger Pitch Books, Informationsmemoranden, Management Präsentationen und weiterer Transaktionsunterlagen.
• Koordination von Due-Diligence-Prozessen und Zusammenarbeit mit Kunden, Investoren und externen Beratern.
• Unterstützung bei Identifikation und Outreach an strategische und finanzielle Investoren.
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Senior Bankern und Mandanten während ganzer Transaktionsprozesse.
• Übernahme weiterer Verantwortlichkeiten in einzelnen Workstreams.
• Unterstützung Associates, Analysts und Praktikanten bei Ausführung und Finanzanalyse.
• Beitrag zu Business-Development-Aktivitäten und Identifizierung von Transaktionsmöglichkeiten.
• Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen Kollegen an grenzüberschreitenden Mandaten.

Investment Banking Associate, M\\&A Munich, Germany

We are currently partnering with a leading European corporate finance advisory firm looking to add an Associate to its growing Munich team. The firm operates within the mid-market, advising entrepreneurs, corporates, shareholders and financial investors on domestic and cross-border M\\&A transactions. The team offers a highly entrepreneurial environment where junior bankers are given meaningful responsibility throughout the transaction lifecycle and significant exposure to senior colleagues and clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious investment banker looking to join a collaborative, execution-focused platform where they can continue developing technically while taking on increasing responsibility across live transactions.

The Role As an Associate, you will play a key role across the execution of M\\&A transactions, while working closely with senior bankers on pitches, origination initiatives and client coverage.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and managing M\\&A transactions from initial preparation through to signing and closing
• Preparing financial models, company valuations and transaction analyses
• Conducting detailed company, sector and market research
• Preparing high-quality pitch books, information memoranda, management presentations and other transaction materials
• Coordinating due diligence processes and engaging with clients, investors and external advisers
• Supporting buyer identification and outreach across strategic and financial investors
• Working directly with senior bankers and clients throughout live transaction processes
• Taking increasing responsibility for individual workstreams and transaction management
• Supporting Associates, Analysts and interns across execution and financial analysis
• Contributing to business development initiatives and the identification of potential transaction opportunities
• Collaborating with colleagues internationally on cross-border mandates

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates with approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant M\\&A or investment banking experience who are ready to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong experience within M\\&A, investment banking, corporate finance or a comparable advisory environment
• Experience working across live sell-side and/or buy-side M\\&A transactions
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities
• A solid understanding of the full M\\&A transaction process
• Experience producing transaction and marketing materials to a high standard
• Confidence working directly with clients, investors and other advisers
• The ability to take ownership of individual transaction workstreams
• Strong attention to detail combined with a commercial mindset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional fluency in German and English
• A collaborative and entrepreneurial approach to working within a lean deal team
