A leading venture capital firm in Berlin is seeking an Investment Associate to drive planet-positive entrepreneurship. The role involves managing investments from sourcing to closing, building industry networks, and conducting deep market research. The ideal candidate has venture capital experience, a scientific background, and excellent communication skills. This position offers flexibility and a mission-driven work environment aimed at making a measurable impact on the planet.

Qualifications

Proven track record in investment roles.
Fluency in English, with additional languages as an asset.
Ability to engage with clarity and empathy.
Confident, grounded and purposeful; leads with humility and empathy.
Fluent English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Manage the full investment process from sourcing to closing.
Build relationships within the VC landscape.
Conduct market research for new investment ideas.
Represent Planet A at events and build networks.
Prepare market and industry research to inform new areas and trends.
Support internal projects to make Planet A more thesis- and data-driven.
Be an ambassador for Planet A at events, on stage, and in writing, while expanding the network.

Planet A Ventures is a European early-stage venture capital fund supporting founders tackling our greatest systemic challenges. We are looking for an exceptional individual to join Planet A Ventures as an Investment Associate. In this role, you’ll work closely with our General Partners, in-house scientific advisors, and a close-knit team of purpose-driven investors. While Berlin is our hub, we welcome individuals from across Europe who are eager to help us drive measurable impact.

Responsibilities

Shape the future of planet-positive entrepreneurship: Take joint responsibility for the full investment process — from spotting promising ventures and meeting visionary founders to deep-dives, expert calls, and writing proposals that turn ideas into reality.
Grow our network and influence: Build and nurture meaningful relationships across Europe’s VC landscape, with founders, and industry experts — strengthening Planet A’s reach and sharpening our deal-sourcing edge.
Turn opportunities into investments: Work side-by-side with our General Partners to bring deals across the finish line — from negotiation to closing.
Dive deep into science and tech: Develop expertise in frontier deep-tech topics that hold the keys to solving global challenges.
Connect the dots and see ahead: Prepare market and industry research that inspires new investment theses and keeps us ahead of emerging trends.
Make our fund smarter every day: Support internal projects that help Planet A become ever more thesis- and data-driven.
Be an ambassador for Planet A: Represent us at industry events, on stage, and in writing — from speaking engagements to blog posts — while actively building your own network and amplifying our presence in the venture ecosystem.

Qualifications

You’ve driven impact through investing — with a proven track record in venture capital, private equity, or related investment roles in fast-paced environments. Bonus points for a solid foundation in a scientific or engineering discipline to strengthen our science-meets-business edge.
