ZEISS Group is seeking a motivated student to shape the software foundation of an in-house digital twin platform. You will develop robust C++ components, design APIs, and enhance CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with researchers and engineers to integrate software into ongoing projects.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in CS/SE programs, have strong C++ skills, and are eager to learn testing, documentation, and AI-assisted development.

Qualificações

• Enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related program.
• Strong programming skills in modern C++.
• Good understanding of software engineering, modular design, and architecture.
• Interest in testing, CI/CD, code quality, and developer tooling.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development.
• Interest in AI-assisted development or agentic systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop robust, reusable software components in modern C++.
• Design APIs, interfaces, and software architecture.
• Build and maintain workflows (build, packaging, deployment) and improve CI/CD with GitHub Enterprise/Actions.
• Implement automated tests (unit, integration, system) and maintain Python wheels/bindings for C++ libraries.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to integrate software into ongoing projects, document architectural decisions, and present your work.

• Develop robust, reusable software components in modern C++
• Design APIs, interfaces, and software architecture
• Build and maintain workflows (build, packaging, deployment) and improve CI/CD with GitHub Enterprise/Actions
• Implement automated tests (unit, integration, system) and maintain Python wheels/bindings for C++ libraries
• Automate documentation generation/publication and explore agentic workflows for software development, testing, documentation, and productivity
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to integrate software into ongoing projects, document architectural decisions, and present your work

Your Profile

• Enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related program
• Strong programming skills in modern C++
• Good understanding of software engineering, modular design, and architecture
• Interest in testing, CI/CD, code quality, and developer tooling
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development
• Interest in AI-assisted development or agentic systems
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Good English communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with unit/integration testing and CMake/C++ packaging
• Familiarity with Python bindings or wheels from C++
• Knowledge of documentation/deployment/release automation
• Some exposure to GPU tech (Vulkan/CUDA) or game engine programming
