Job summary

mc Group in Berlin is seeking an Intern/Trainee Project Manager (f/m/d) for Translation/Travel to support the Translate & Travel team on international client projects. You will help manage translation and travel assignments, source suppliers, and assist with client acquisition and project coordination.

We seek a degree in economics, linguistics, or tourism with initial project management experience, strong German and English, and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in economics, linguistics or tourism with sector experience.
• Interest in travel and translation.
• Experience in project management, costing and quality assurance in a company.
• Entrepreneurial thinking and results orientation.
• Strong purchasing sense; able to negotiate terms.

Responsibilities

• Expansion of Translate & Travel by managing translation and travel assignments for international clients.
• Find suppliers for translation and travel services.
• Acquire new customers.
• Review applications to expand the network.
• Monitor quality, delivery deadlines and supplier invoices.
• Brief communication and cooperation with project managers and client advisors.
• Prepare quotations for clients.
• Ensure successful delivery of projects including customer support (national/international).

Your responsibilities:

• Further expansion of our Translate & Travel agency, more specific in the project management of translation and travel assignments for international clients
• Finding suppliers providing translation and travel services
• Acquisition of new customers
• Reviewing applications for expanding the network
• Monitoring quality, delivery deadlines and supplier invoices related to our projects
• Briefing communication and cooperation with project managers and client advisors
• Preparing quotations for clients
• Successful delivery of projects, including customer support (national/international)

Your Profile:

• You have completed a degree in economics/linguistics/tourism and have already gained experience in the sector
• You are enthusiastic about the topic of travel and translation
• You have initial professional experience in project management, project costing and quality assurance in a Company
• You have a high degree of entrepreneurial thinking and are conclusion-oriented
• You have a strong understanding of purchasing processes and are skilled in negotiating terms and conditions
• You are communicative and show initiative
• Proficiency in German and English, both oral and writing, as well as in Microsoft Office programmes (especially Excel)
