Jobtailor seeks a hands-on SDET to design and implement automated testing for blockchain-based solutions. You will break down requirements into testable components, build test harnesses, and integrate testing into CI/CD to deliver reliable software.

Responsibilities include API/RPC testing, smart contract testing (Solidity/Rust), and collaborating with engineers and product managers to improve coverage and quality in a dynamic environment.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years in software testing/SDET with automated solutions (not UI-centric).
• Experience testing blockchain-based solutions.
• Experience with Foundry/Hardhat in testing or development.
• Experience with Solidity or Rust smart contracts.
• Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with API/RPC/gRPC testing and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC.

Responsibilities

• Ability to break down solutions conceptually into testable components and develop plans for testing, verification and validation.
• Identify solution risk areas and develop test harnesses that fit into the SDLC.
• Utilize tools and test harnesses to accelerate current testing practices.
• Work with Engineering team to evolve testing practices to improve coverage, ensure compliance and accelerate timelines.
• Demonstrate test coverage with test solutions above.
• Integrate test practices into CI/CD solutions that generate metrics and visibility.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing using solutions above.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Foster an open-minded approach with regards to test tools and approaches.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).

Requirements

• Roughly 3+ years experience in software testing/sdet roles with an emphasis on various automated solutions where UI is not the main focus.
• Experience with blockchain-based solutions in testing and validation.
• Experience with Foundry/Hardhat in either testing and/or development capacity.
• Experience with Smart Contract development (Solidity, Rust) challenges.
• Strong problem-solving skills including someone who:
• Investigates root causes, not symptoms.
• Uses multiple system surfaces to validate truth.
• Understands eventual consistency.
• Is comfortable testing infrastructure without GUIs.
• Treats observability as a testing tool.
• Thrives in ambiguous, evolving environments.
• Blockchain internal architecture familiarity (e.g. EVM vs IBC vs Consensus).
• API/RPC/gRPC Testing experience with industry tools and/or home grown.
• Database solutions such as MongoDB, PostGres or other NoSQL solution.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
