Carl Zeiss SMT GmbH in Oberkochen, Germany, seeks a Process/Building Services Engineer to shape utility systems for advanced facilities. You will plan, design, and specify gas, cooling water, vacuum and exhaust systems and help integrate and commission them with partners.

Required are degrees in Process/Mechanical/Energy Engineering and hands-on experience with utility systems, plus strong analytical skills and fluency in German and English.

Your Role

• Develop utility supply and infrastructure systems for complex high-tech facilities
• Plan, design, and optimize gas, cooling water, vacuum, and exhaust air systems
• Define technical requirements and prepare specifications and concepts
• Evaluate and further develop technical solutions in collaboration with internal and external development partners
• Conduct technical reviews and ensure the robustness and quality of development results
• Analyze complex technical challenges and develop sustainable solutions
• Support the integration, verification, and commissioning of new systems

Your Profile

• Successfully completed degree in Process Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a comparable technical field
• Initial experience in the development, design, or integration of technical utility supply systems
• Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Gas Supply Systems, Cooling Water and Temperature Control Cystems, Vacuum Technology, Exhaust Air and Exhaust Systems
• Experience in preparing technical requirements, specifications, and development concepts
• Experience in the technical evaluation and validation of components, assemblies, or systems
• Structured and self-reliant approach to work, combined with strong analytical skills
• Good command of German and English, both written and spoken
