Responsabilités

• IFRS technical accounting research and advisory across IFRS 3, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, IAS 28 & 36.
• Support quarterly, half-year and annual consolidated reporting and disclosures.
• Lead technical accounting assessments for acquisitions and investments; manage PPA and intangible assets.
• Strengthen governance and controls with Internal Audit and Group Finance.
• Engage with external auditors and senior leadership; provide IFRS training.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced IFRS Technical Finance Manager to join our Corporate Finance team in Hamburg. Reporting to the Head of Group Reporting and Technical Accounting, you'll be our subject matter expert on International Financial Reporting Standards — advising on complex transactions, acquisitions, restructurings, and financing arrangements, while supporting the integrity of our external financial reporting. This is a highly visible role with significant exposure to senior finance leadership, auditors, and executive stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Technical Accounting & IFRS Advisory — Research and implement new/revised IFRS standards; maintain Group accounting policies and technical papers; advise on complex and non-routine transactions covering IFRS 3, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, IAS 28 & 36.
• Group Reporting — Support quarterly, half-year, and annual consolidated reporting; review disclosures for IFRS compliance; contribute to annual report preparation; drive reporting quality and efficiency improvements.
• Mergers & Acquisitions — Lead technical accounting assessments for acquisitions and investments; manage purchase price allocations and goodwill/intangible asset recognition; support due diligence and integration.
• Governance & Controls — Partner with Internal Audit and Group Finance to strengthen controls; support governance frameworks across international entities; review regional accounting treatments; guide external audit reviews.
• Stakeholder Management — Act as key liaison with external auditors; present accounting position papers to senior leadership; deliver IFRS training and coaching across the Group.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, Wirtschaftsprüfer, CA, or equivalent) with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 6-10+ years of relevant experience in Big 4 Audit/Advisory and/or technical accounting within large multinational organisations.
• Deep, practical knowledge of IFRS and Group Reporting.
• Proven experience preparing technical accounting position papers.
• Strong grasp of complex accounting transactions and consolidations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with multi-billion-euro international groups.
• Exposure to M&A transactions.
• Knowledge of German statutory reporting requirements.
• Background in shared services or international service-based businesses.
• Familiarity with SAP, OneStream, Hyperion, or similar group reporting systems.
