Job summary

MAM Gruppe Limited in Frankfurt is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the full finance function within a dynamic financial services group.

Responsibilities

Job description

A financial services business in Frankfurt, operating as part of a wider international group, is strengthening its finance team with the appointment of a Finance Manager.

The position covers the full spread of the finance function: keeping the books and cash in order, producing the numbers management and the group rely on, and owning the statutory year end. You’ll join a small team led by the Head of Finance, with a clear path to greater ownership as you settle in. Improving how the function works is very much part of the brief.

The role:

• Owning the month-end close, with bookkeeping under IFRS and German GAAP carried out in SAP.
• Steering the year-end process, from statutory accounts and supporting files through to the audit itself.
• Delivering monthly reporting to the local leadership team and the parent group, with commentary on how revenue is developing.
• Preparing financial content for board meetings.
• Managing cash and liquidity across bank accounts, cards and petty cash.
• Running billing and collections, and coordinating supplier payments with a shared service team.
• Calculating and invoicing intercompany recharges.
• Building strong working relationships with group accounting and controlling, external auditors and customers.
• Spotting opportunities to streamline processes and putting improvements into practice.

What you’ll need:

• Hands-on accounting experience gained in financial services.
• Confident application of both IFRS and German GAAP.
• Business-level German and English.
• Precise, analytical and comfortable when deadlines tighten or urgent requests land.
• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team but brings an entrepreneurial streak.
