GE Vernova is seeking a HVDC Commissioning Manager (all genders) to lead testing and commissioning for large-scale, international HVDC projects. The role involves building the commissioning organization, coordinating with design and PM teams, and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across sites in Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore and Batam.

You will report to the Regional Commissioning Team Leader and travel internationally to construction sites during execution phases,

Qualificações

• Completed degree in electrical engineering or energy technology.
• Several years of experience in commissioning of substations, power plants or HVDC systems.
• Strong communication and leadership in international projects.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and execute testing and commissioning activities for large international HVDC projects.
• Build and lead the commissioning organization for projects within scope.
• Coordinate with design office and PM team to obtain data for commissioning site works.
• Prepare commissioning schedule in alignment with consortium partner.
• Create commissioning documentation and setup a completion management system.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests and ensure on-site quality.
• Maintain communication with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders.

HVDC Commissioning Manager (all genders)

in the “Construction & Commissioning” function to participate in this energy transition for Central Europe.

You will lead Commissioning activities with an international team of Commissioning Engineers through different projects stages, starting from Commissioning Preparation through to on- site execution.

As a HVDC Commissioning Manager (all genders) you have a key position within key projects for the energy transition. You will report to the Regional Commissioning Team Leader.

The position requires international travels with construction site presence during the execution phase. The HVDC sites are located in Germany and Netherlands as well as in Singapore and Batam for the platform construction.

About the RoleAs a HVDC Commissioning Manager (all genders) you will be responsible for testing and executing commissioning activities of large- scale international HVDC Projects.

Mission description

• Ensure all testing and commissioning activities are planned and carried out in compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
• Build and develop the Commissioning Organization for projects within your scope, including preparation of Org- Charts & Mobilization Plans for Staff & Tools
• Liaise with design office and PM team for timely issuance of data required for preparation of commissioning site works (specs, designs, BOQ, material lists, …)
• Prepare the Commissioning Schedule in alignment with the consortium partner for the platform manufacturing
• Prepare Commissioning documentation like ITPs & Checklists and setup a Completion Management System together with your Commissioning Team
• Contribute with your Commissioning Team to Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure that systems delivered to site with the right quality
• Maintain effective communication related to Commissioning scope with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders and be the main point of contact
• Collaborate with the Project Team about Quality, Claim & Risk Management

• You will actively advance the Energy Transition by bringing our HVDC projects to a successful completion with our customers
• You will support our Commissioning Department with your expertise and will develop yourself with the state-of-the-art technologies
• Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable qualification.
• Knowledge and several years of experience in Commissioning of substations, Power Plants or HVDC Systems.
• Excellent Communication skills paired with strong Leadership skills in an internation project environment
• Fluent in English, German language or additional language skills are a plus.
