GE Vernova sucht einen HVDC Commissioning Manager (w/m/d) zur Leitung der Inbetriebnahme internationaler HVDC-Projekte. Sie führen ein internationales Team über alle Phasen von Vorbereitung bis Vor-Ort-Einführung und berichten an den Regional Commissioning Team Leader.

Qualifikationen

• Abgeschlossenes Studium der Elektroingenieurwissenschaften oder vergleichbare Qualifikation.
• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Inbetriebnahme von Umspannwerken, Kraftwerken oder HVDC-Systemen.
• Ausgezeichnete Kommunikationsfähigkeiten mit internationaler Führungserfahrung.
• Fließendes Englisch; Deutschkenntnisse von Vorteil.
• Bereitschaft zu internationalen Reisen und Arbeiten auf Baustellen/Offshore-Plattformen.

Aufgaben

• Planung und Durchführung von Inbetriebnahmeaktivitäten gemäß Sicherheits-, Qualitäts- und Regulierungsanforderungen.
• Aufbau der Inbetriebnahmungsorganisation inkl. Mobilisierungspläne für Personal und Werkzeuge.
• Abstimmung mit Designbüro und PM-Team für zeitnahe Bereitstellung von Inbetriebnahmedaten.
• Erstellung des Inbetriebnahmeplans in Abstimmung mit Partnern und Projekten.
• Dokumentation wie ITPs/Checklisten und Implementierung eines Abschluss-Management-Systems.
• Zusammenarbeit im Projektteam zu Qualität, Claims und Risikomanagement.

Due to the growth of our Grid business, we are currently looking for our next HVDC Commissioning Manager (all genders) in the “Construction & Commissioning” function to participate in this energy transition for Central Europe.

About the Role

As a HVDC Commissioning Manager (all genders) you will be responsible for testing and executing commissioning activities of large‑scale international HVDC Projects.

You will lead commissioning activities with an international team of commissioning engineers through different project stages, starting from commissioning preparation through to on‑site execution.

As a HVDC Commissioning Manager (all genders) you have a key position within key projects for the energy transition. You will report to the Regional Commissioning Team Leader.

The position requires international travels with construction site presence during the execution phase. The HVDC sites are located in Germany and Netherlands as well as in Singapore and Batam for the platform construction.

Mission description

• Ensure all testing and commissioning activities are planned and carried out in compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
• Build and develop the commissioning organization for projects within your scope, including preparation of org‑charts & mobilization plans for staff & tools.
• Liaise with design office and PM team for timely issuance of data required for preparation of commissioning site works (specs, designs, BOQ, material lists, …).
• Prepare the commissioning schedule in alignment with the consortium partner for platform manufacturing.
• Prepare commissioning documentation like ITPs & checklists and set up a completion management system together with your commissioning team.
• Contribute with your commissioning team to factory acceptance tests to ensure that systems delivered to site with the right quality.
• Maintain effective communication related to commissioning scope with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders and be the main point of contact.
• Collaborate with the project team about quality, claim & risk management.

• You will support our commissioning department with your expertise and will develop yourself with the state‑of‑the‑art technologies.

What You Bring

• Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable qualification.
• Knowledge and several years of experience in commissioning of substations, power plants or HVDC systems.
• Excellent communication skills paired with strong leadership skills in an international project environment.
• Fluent in English, German language or additional language skills are a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work on construction sites and optional assignments on offshore platforms.
