- To lead the delivery of the global HR strategy at a local level. As a business partner, the HR Manager is responsible for providing functional expertise on all areas of the employee lifecycle – from attracting talent, succession planning and retention; to employee relations, performance management, organizational design and development; ensuring all policies and procedures are relevant and communicated effectively, and Managers are equipped to deal with people related matters; compensation and statutory regulations.
- The HR manager will work close with the International HR colleagues on projects aligned to the People Strategy.
- This is a standalone role with autonomy to work as part of the site Management team in delivering on global and local KPIs.
KEY OBJECTIVES &
RESPONSIBILITIES
Attract, recruit, retain and develop talent
- Build internal and external networks, manage the recruitment and onboarding process
- Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition Manager to recruit top talent and secure succession at all levels.
- Work with managers and employees to create development plans
- Identify and develop high potential internal candidates through succession planning process and identifying talent for internal programs
Drive a high-performance culture and increase employee engagement
- Working with Managers, facilitate regular communication meetings, team building events, and employee recognition activities
- Lead the development and implementation of culture improvement action plans
- Develop and maintain positive employee relationships
- Provide oversight, support, and guidance to employee-led teams in the areas of health and safety, community involvement, reward & recognition, employee communication
Provide expert HR guidance and support to managers and employees
- Provide guidance to managers regarding employee relations issues, supporting them with investigations, disciplinaries and performance meetings.
- Coach managers on problem resolution and policy interpretation to ensure a positive and productive working environment
- Effectively balance role of employee advocate with the best interests of the business
- Monitor key business metrics and utilize workforce analytics to identify areas of opportunity/concern, supporting the creation and execution of action plans.
Lead the timely and quality execution of HR processes and procedures
- Ensure performance management process is fully implemented at all levels
- Deliver training sessions and programs as needed
- Develop, implement and maintain HR processes and procedures aligned with HR guidelines and statutory requirements
- Maintain accurate employee records and files
Provide HR support to drive key division and HR functional initiatives and projects
- Manage staffing at appropriate levels to meet business goals
- Implement and maintain procedures to minimize absence/illness rate
- Organizational restructuring planning and implementation
- Workforce Planning, short-term and long-term
- Internal/External Trend/Data Analysis in key areas

Provide administrative support in the whole employee lifecycle from issuing contracts and onboarding, to changes in terms and exit, ensuring all legal requirements are fulfilled.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in business, human resources or related field - desirable
- Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience; previous experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years of supervisory experience
- Extensive works council knowledge, union interactions is a plus
