Zusammenfassung

SR2 | Socially Responsible Recruitment | Certified B Corporation™ is seeking an experienced HSE Specialist (m/f/d) to support the safe delivery of Battery Energy Storage System projects across planning, construction and operation phases in Germany.

You will drive high HSE standards with construction teams, engineering and external contractors, traveling across project sites in Germany. Fluency in German and English is required, along with RAMS and permits review experience.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum experience in industrial, construction or technical project environments.
• Experience supporting operational HSE activities on live sites.
• Strong understanding of occupational safety, environmental protection and HSE regulations.
• Experience reviewing RAMS, permits and risk assessments.
• SiGeKo or related HSE qualifications are advantageous.
• Fluent German and English language skills.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Germany (approx. 50%).

Aufgaben

• Support site managers and safety coordinators in maintaining and improving HSE standards across live construction projects.
• Provide operational HSE guidance across project planning, construction and operational activities.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Review RAMS, permits to work and HSE documentation for high-risk activities including lifting operations, electrical works, excavation activities.
• Ensure HSE incidents, near misses and observations are tracked and acted upon.
• Deliver toolbox talks, site onboarding and HSE meetings.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and authorities on HSE matters.
• Support continuous improvement of HSE processes, systems and reporting.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives and digital HSE tools where required.

HSE Specialist (m/f/d) – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Do you want to work with a rapidly growing clean energy organisation delivering large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Germany?

Following recent integration into a major global energy group, the business combines the backing and stability of an international organisation with the agility and innovation of a high-growth renewable energy company.

We are looking for an experienced HSE Specialist to support the safe delivery of industrial and construction-related BESS projects across planning, construction and operational phases.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in driving high HSE standards across multiple energy infrastructure projects, working closely with construction teams, engineering, project management and external contractors. (This is a highly operational role with regular travel to project sites across Germany)

Key Responsibilities

• Support site managers and safety coordinators in maintaining and improving HSE standards across live construction projects
• Provide operational HSE guidance across project planning, construction and operational activities
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments
• Review RAMS, permits to work and HSE documentation for high-risk activities including:
• Lifting operations
• Electrical works
• Excavation activities
• Ensure HSE incidents, near misses and observations are accurately tracked and actioned
• Deliver toolbox talks, site onboarding sessions and HSE meetings
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and external authorities on HSE matters
• Support the continuous improvement of HSE processes, systems and reporting
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives, certifications and digital HSE tools where required

Experience Required

• Previous HSE experience within industrial, construction or technical project environments
• Experience supporting operational HSE activities on live sites
• Strong understanding of occupational safety, environmental protection and HSE regulations
• Experience reviewing RAMS, permits and risk assessments
• Background within energy, infrastructure, industrial or construction sectors highly desirable
• Additional HSE or SiGeKo qualifications beneficial
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Germany (approx. 50%)
