A2B Rec is seeking a seasoned HSE professional for a site near Bremen, Germany, to lead Health, Safety and Environmental activities across projects.

You will maintain and continuously improve the HSE management system, ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, conduct audits and risk assessments, and coordinate with project teams, contractors, and international HSE colleagues.

Fluent German is essential, with good English, and travel about 25% to project locations is expected.

Formación

• Several years of practical experience in an HSE/occupational safety role.
• Experience in industrial/plant engineering, manufacturing, energy or similar technical environment.
• Strong experience with risk assessments, HSE audits, accident investigations and HSE management systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Engineering or technical degree, or Techniker/Meister qualification.
• Auditor qualification would be advantageous.
• Fluent German is essential, with good English.
• Ability to work independently and own site-level HSE responsibilities.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain HSE procedures, work instructions, RAMS and project-specific HSE plans.
• Coordinate HSE requirements with project teams, contractors and subcontractors.
• Monitor HSE KPIs, incidents, corrective actions and improvement measures.
• Support HSE training, safety discussions and emergency exercises.
• Work closely with site management, engineering, operations and international HSE teams.
• Travel to project and operational locations as required, approximately 25%.

Our client is an established international engineering and technology company operating within the renewable energy and environmental technology sectors.

The company develops and manufactures modular plant technology for renewable gas applications, including biomethane production and CO₂ recovery. The position is based at its site near Bremen, Germany.

Qualifications

• Strong practical experience with risk assessments, HSE audits, accident investigations and HSE management systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Degree in an engineering or technical discipline, or a recognised Techniker / Meister qualification.
• Auditor qualification would be advantageous.
• Fluent German is essential, with good English language skills also required.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of site-level HSE responsibilities.
