Job description

Our client is executing a programme of onshore and offshore cable installation works in Germany, as part of a wider energy transition infrastructure effort. The programme spans multiple sites and requires a Project HSE Manager to own HSE strategy and performance across the full scope, working closely with site-based teams, subcontractors and the client's own organisation. The assignment sits within a broader HSE organisation, coordinating with project management, engineering and construction teams to keep safety performance consistent across the whole programme.

The assignment covers project-level HSE ownership across German onshore and offshore cable installation works, ensuring the Project HSE Plan, risk management process and regulatory compliance are consistently applied across all sites. The role is managed primarily from an office base in Germany or remotely, with occasional travel to project sites to verify compliance and support critical execution phases.

The position works closely with site-based HSE Supervisors and Coordinators, project management, engineering and client teams, providing remote guidance between site visits and acting as the escalation point for HSE matters across the programme.

Site visits are planned around key project milestones and audit cycles rather than on a fixed schedule, giving the role flexibility to prioritise where hands-on presence adds the most value across the programme.

Reporting line:
