Zusammenfassung

SSC Space is seeking an experienced HR Manager for the Engineering Services business area to drive people strategies across Germany, the Netherlands and beyond. You will partner with senior leaders to shape organizational design, leadership development and talent management in a dynamic international matrix.

You will lead HR teams, foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and ensure compliant, high‑performing people programs across Europe. Travel as needed.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Extensive experience in senior HR roles within international and matrix organizations.
  • Deep expertise across employee lifecycle with specialist areas like talent acquisition, organizational development, or HR analytics.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and translating business needs into people strategies.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed HR teams in Germany and the Netherlands.
  • Strong knowledge of German labor law; experience with multiple European countries is a plus.
  • Proactive, adaptable leader with intercultural collaboration.

We are now looking for an experienced and business-oriented HR Manager for our Engineering Services Business Area to play a key role in driving our people agenda across a growing international business area.

In this position, you will be a trusted partner to senior leaders, a member of the Engineering Services Leadership Team and the HR Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CHRO. You will lead HR through both strategy and execution—supporting operations across Germany, Netherlands, Spain and Italy, driving organizational development, attracting top engineering talent, and leading HR teams in Germany and the Netherlands.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you are an experienced HR leader with a strong business mindset and the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of an international organization. You combine strategic thinking with a hands‑on approach and are energized by working in a dynamic, technology‑driven environment. We believe you bring:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in senior HR roles within complex international and matrix organizations.
  • Broad HR expertise across the employee lifecycle combined with deep competence in one or more specialist areas, such as talent acquisition, organizational development, talent management, HR digitalization, or people analytics.
  • A strong track record of partnering with senior leaders and translating business needs into effective people strategies.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed HR teams, providing strategic direction, coaching and support while fostering a positive and collaborative culture.
  • Solid experience recruiting and assessing highly skilled professionals, ideally in technical or engineering-related fields, including managing recruitment during periods of rapid growth and high hiring demand.
  • Strong knowledge of German labor law; experience supporting multiple European countries is an advantage.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to balance commercial priorities with people and organizational needs.
  • Professional proficiency in both German and English.

Responsibilities

As HR Manager Engineering Services, you will play a key role in enabling business success through people, leadership, and organizational development. You will act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, lead international HR teams, and drive strategic and operational HR initiatives across multiple countries. In this role, you will:

  • Partner with the Engineering Services leadership team and other business leaders to align people strategies with business objectives.
  • Lead and develop HR teams in Germany and the Netherlands, fostering collaboration, engagement, accountability, and high performance.
  • Provide strategic and operational HR support across the employee lifecycle, including organizational development, talent management, employee relations, and change management.
  • Drive talent acquisition and workforce planning initiatives to secure the capabilities needed for current and future business success.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on organizational design, leadership development, labor law, performance management, and talent strategy.
  • Lead and support organizational change initiatives, helping leaders and employees navigate transformation and growth.
  • Drive the development, digitalization, and harmonization of global HR processes, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and a positive employee experience.
  • Own and continuously improve selected global HR processes and collaborate with HR colleagues across the organization to ensure successful implementation.
  • Contribute to the development of HR policies, guidelines, and best practices while ensuring compliance with local legislation and company standards.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across countries, functions, and leadership levels, enabling collaboration and effective decision‑making.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement in line with SSC Space's values and leadership expectations.
  • Travel to SSC Space locations as needed to support the business and strengthen collaboration across the organization.
