SSC Space in Gilching, Germany seeks a Spacecraft Controller to monitor satellites, telemetry, and mission progress in a 24/7 shift system. The role involves training, following procedures, and coordinating with experts to handle anomalies and ensure safe operations.
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Science, has German and English proficiency, and is eligible for EU citizenship with security clearance.

In Germany we have Spacecraft Controller teams in two sites, working on different missions. One is in Darmstadt working on ESA Interplanetary Missions at ESOC. The other is in Gilching/Oberpfaffenhofen working with the Galileo Mission in the Galileo Control Center or Multiple Missions at GSOC.
In line with security requirements for the concerned missions of this position, the candidate has to hold a European citizenship. Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process. Furthermore, in view of the nature of the work the company is in, all potential employees will undergo stringent reference and identity checks.
