B. Braun SE in Melsungen, Germany, seeks a strategic Head of Platform & Solutions Operations to lead the end-to-end platform and digital foundation.

You will drive service integration, SRE practices, incident handling, observability, and SLO governance across multiple internal providers, ensuring compliant, audit-ready operations. You will own the operating model from pilot to scalable, production-grade delivery, coordinating with IT, regulatory, and quality teams, and guiding a capable team

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or comparable field.
• 8+ years in platform or production operations with leadership experience.
• Hands-on with SLOs, observability, and incident response in live production.
• Experience designing/operating a SIAM or multi-provider model.
• Experience with SRE, cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, GitOps.
• Regulated/compliance production environments; IEC 62304 / ISO 13485 advantageous.
• Fluent English; German with enterprise stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the platform operations end-to-end, including SIAM across providers.
• Define/implement SLOs and error budgets; drive prioritization from observability data.
• Establish change management using GitOps and policy-as-code.
• Build and grow an operational team to ensure production reliability.

The Group Digital Department, is looking for a Head of Platform & Solutions Operations. The Head of Platform & Solutions Operations is responsible for running B. Braun's Customer facing Integrated Solutions Portfolio and Digital Foundation platform in production, end to end. Service Integration, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), incident/problem/change management, observability, and service-level management all sit within this role's operating model. You act as the primary interface between the Digital Foundation's platform teams and the internal service organizations.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• You build a pilot for one integrated solution within your first months, delivering it end-to-end with agreed interfaces, real SLOs in use, and a functioning stakeholder feedback loop
• You design and implement a Service Integration (SIAM) operating model across multiple internal providers, including IT Service Desk, Global Business Service, and Global Technical Service
• You introduce SLOs and error budgets on top of the observability stack and use them to drive prioritization and operational decisions
• You establish modern, risk-tiered change management practices based on GitOps and policy-as-code principles
• You build, lead, and grow an operational team or competence center that ensures reliable platform operations in production
• You collaborate with Quality and Regulatory Affairs to define and fulfill supplier obligations under IEC 62304 and ISO 13485
• You represent platform operations to internal and external stakeholders, communicating risks, incidents, and the roadmap in a transparent manner.

Professional Qualifications:

• You hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a comparable field
• You bring more than 8 years of experience in platform or production operations, including several years in a leadership position
• You have hands-on experience implementing SLOs, observability practices, and incident response processes in live production environments
• You have successfully designed and operated a Service Integration (SIAM) or comparable multi-provider operating model
• You possess practical experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, and GitOps-based change enablement
• You have worked in regulated or compliance-sensitive production environments, ideally with ISO 27001 / SOC 2, while experience with IEC 62304 and ISO 13485 is a strong advantage
• You communicate fluently in English and work confidently in German with enterprise stakeholders.
