Döhler in Germany seeks a Head of Group Project Engineering to lead global project engineering across sites. You will shape the global master plans, drive CAPEX planning, and push standards for automation and energy efficiency.

As a senior leader, you will coordinate with R&D, Sourcing, Finance, and production teams worldwide to share best practices, ensure governance, and deliver high-impact process improvements across our global network.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in process engineering, production engineering, food technology, or related technical field.
• Several years of engineering experience in the food/beverage industry.
• Experience in basic and detailed engineering for process plant engineering.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food production technology and digital production tools.
• Strong project management experience and leadership.
• Fluent English and German.

Your Role:

• You are responsible for our Project engineering on global level and lead global engineering projects from the development of technical solutions to their implementation across our sites
• You are responsible for the global standard for site master plans and coordinate the specific master plan for each plant in collaboration with regional engineering teams
• You develop the global CAPEX plan and manage the global CAPEX budget together with counterparts from the global finance organization
• You drive improvements and standardization in the field of automation and energy efficiency
• Together with your team, you gather best practices regarding technical processes at our global production sites and identify opportunities to implement the most efficient technologies worldwide
• You establish global standards while taking into account specific technical, product-related, and regulatory requirements.
• In collaboration with colleagues from R&D and Sourcing, you and your team develop global standards for equipment and suppliers.
• You work closely with cross-functional teams—including Production, Engineering, Sourcing, and Finance—to ensure alignment and effective communication regarding maintenance strategies
• Working with an international team, you focus on the continuous improvement of our processes and provide guidance to Döhler’s production sites worldwide.
• You coordinate our global Subject Matter Expert network together with your team
• You ensure consistent project governance

Your Profile:

• You have a degree in process engineering, production engineering, food technology, or a related technical field
• You have several years of engineering experience in the food and/or beverage industry
• You possess extensive experience in basic and detailed engineering for process plant engineering
• You have comprehensive knowledge of food production technology and digital production tools
• You have demonstrated your project management skills through large-scale projects
• You have several years of leadership experience
• You are able to quickly comprehend complex matters and possess a strong conceptual and analytical approach to work
• You are characterized by a solution-oriented mindset and a hands-on mentality
• Your working languages are English and German
