Job summary

DöhlerGroup in Germany seeks a Project Engineer to lead global engineering projects from concept to implementation across our sites. You will define master plans and coordinate with regional teams, while shaping the global CAPEX plan and managing budgets with finance.

The role focuses on automation, energy efficiency, and standardized processes across Döhler's production network. You will work with R&D, Sourcing, Production, and Finance, driving continuous improvement and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• You have a degree in process engineering, production engineering, food technology or a related technical field.
• You have several years of engineering experience in the food and/or beverage industry.
• You possess extensive experience in basic and detailed engineering for process plant engineering.
• You have comprehensive knowledge of food production technology and digital production tools.
• You have demonstrated your project management skills through large-scale projects.
• You have several years of leadership experience.
• You are able to quickly comprehend complex matters and possess a strong conceptual and analytical approach to work.
• You are characterized by a solution-oriented mindset and a hands-on mentality.
• Your working languages are English and German.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for our Project engineering on global level and lead global engineering projects from the development of technical solutions to their implementation across our sites.
• You are responsible for the global standard for site master plans and coordinate the specific master plan for each plant in collaboration with regional engineering teams.
• You develop the global CAPEX plan and manage the global CAPEX budget together with counterparts from the global finance organization.
• You drive improvements and standardization in the field of automation and energy efficiency.
• You gather best practices regarding technical processes at our global production sites and identify opportunities to implement the most efficient technologies worldwide.
• You establish global standards while taking into account specific technical, product-related, and regulatory requirements.
• You work closely with cross-functional teams—including Production, Engineering, Sourcing, and Finance—to ensure alignment and effective communication regarding maintenance strategies.
• You collaborate with colleagues from R&D and Sourcing to develop global standards for equipment and suppliers.
• You coordinate our global Subject Matter Expert network together with your team.
• You ensure consistent project governance.

Your Profile
