Job summary

Döhler is a leading global producer of natural ingredients and solutions for the food, beverage, lifestyle and nutrition industries, with a commitment to innovation and international collaboration. We are seeking a Process Engineer to develop new products and production processes from idea to implementation, and to transfer lab work to full-scale manufacturing.

You will work with Group Engineering and cross-functional teams worldwide, optimize existing processes, and support root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in process engineering, food tech, chemical engineering, or related field.
• Experience in process development or production environments, preferably in food/beverage or chemical industry.
• Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills with a passion for innovation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams worldwide.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products and production processes from idea to implementation.
• Transfer lab and pilot processes to production scale and assist scale-up.
• Organize, supervise, and evaluate test runs and first productions worldwide.
• Standardize and optimize existing production processes to improve efficiency.
• Provide technical support in root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Group Engineering on new equipment in investment projects.
• Evaluate new technologies for relevance and potential applications.
• Lead projects to implement effective technologies with R&D and local sites.
• Engage with research institutions, service providers, partners, and startups to drive innovation.

The Tasks

• Development of new products and production processes – from the initial idea to implementation
• Transfer of lab and pilot processes to production scale – you will support the scale-up and ensure a smooth transition
• Organization, supervision, and evaluation of test runs and first productions worldwide
• Standardization and continuous optimization of existing production processes to increase efficiency
• Technical support in root cause analysis and troubleshooting in case of deviations
• Close collaboration with Group Engineering in the planning and commissioning of new equipment as part of investment projects
• Evaluation of new technologies for their relevance and applicability within the company – you identify potential and develop innovative areas of application
• Leading projects to implement the "most effective technologies" in collaboration with R&D, technical teams, and local sites
• Active exchange with research institutions, service providers, partner companies, and start-ups to drive innovation

The Profile

• A completed degree in process engineering, food technology, chemical engineering, or a comparable field
• Experience in process development and/or production environments, ideally in the food, beverage, or chemical industry
• Strong technical understanding, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm for innovation
• Strong communication skills and a passion for working with interdisciplinary teams worldwide
• Good command of written and spoken English
