Job summary

GAMECODE.Ai in Munich or remote is seeking a seasoned leader to own finance, legal, HR and governance at the highest level. You will report directly to the CEO and CTO and build scalable processes for a fast-growing AI sports-tech company.

You will manage budgeting, controls, reporting, equity programs and hiring, while partnering with external accountants, lawyers and investors to navigate growth and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in senior management with P&L ownership.
• Proven track record of independent, results-driven leadership.
• AI-native workflow using Claude for contracts, modeling, automation.
• Strong budgeting, liquidity, reporting and controlling expertise.
• Experience with external accountants, tax advisors and lawyers.
• Fluent German and English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee finance, legal, HR, and governance functions end-to-end.
• Set up KPIs, monthly reporting for CEO/CTO and investors.
• Lead hiring processes and scalable HR structures.
• Coordinate external partners (lawyers, accountants, auditors).

Job description

Take ownership of everything that keeps GAMECODE.Ai running, so our CEO and CTO can focus on clubs, partners and product.

You build and run the operational backbone of the company and take core administrative work off the CEO and CTO's desk, end to end.

Finance & Controlling

• Own budgeting, liquidity planning and cash-flow forecasting for both entities
• Set up monthly reporting and KPIs for the CEO and CTO, board and investors
• Steer bookkeeping, payroll, year-end closing and tax topics with external accountants and fiduciaries in Switzerland and Germany
• Manage invoicing, receivables, payables and cost control

Fundraising & Investor Relations Support

• Prepare financial models, data rooms and investor updates
• Coordinate due diligence and the administrative side of financing rounds (e.g. convertible loans, cap table, shareholder resolutions)

Legal, Contracts & Corporate Governance

• Manage contracts with clubs, partners, freelancers and suppliers, working with external lawyers
• Organize board meetings, general meetings and corporate filings
• Administer equity and incentive programs (ESOP, virtual shares, advisory agreements)

People Operations

• Run HR administration: employment and contractor agreements, onboarding, offboarding, compensation models
• Support hiring processes and build scalable HR structures for a growing team

Processes, Tools & Organisation

• Build lean, AI-first processes for finance, legal and admin, with Claude and smart automation at their core instead of extra headcount
• Coordinate insurance, IT administration, office and travel organization
• Keep projects and deadlines on track and act as the CEO and CTO's sparring partner for operational decisions

Your Profile

Our Requirements

We are looking for an experienced leader who has already carried top-level management responsibility and enjoys building structure in a fast-moving startup.

Must Haves

• 5+ years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in a top-level management role (e.g. COO, CFO, Head of Operations, Managing Director or Chief of Staff)
• Proven track record of working independently and taking full ownership of results without close guidance
• AI-native way of working: Claude is already your everyday co-worker. You use it routinely to draft and review contracts, build financial models, analyse data and automate recurring admin work, and you know where its output needs your judgement
• Solid financial know-how: budgeting, liquidity planning, reporting and controlling
• Experience working with external accountants, tax advisors and lawyers
• Strong organisational skills, a hands-on mentality and the ability to prioritise under pressure
• Business-fluent German and English

Nice To Haves

• Background in finance, e.g. a degree in business or finance, a CFO/finance lead role, or experience in audit, M&A, investment banking or private equity
• Experience in a startup or scale-up, ideally through a financing round (VC, angels, convertible loans)
• Familiarity with Swiss and German corporate structures (AG / GmbH)
• Experience with ESOP or virtual share programmes and cap table management
• Affinity for sports, football or sports tech
