Key Responsibilities
To strengthen our team, we are seeking an analytical and results-driven Energy Manager (m/f/d) to oversee energy cost management and efficiency initiatives across our hotel portfolio. Working closely with Finance, Operations, and technical teams, this role drives cost optimization, supplier strategy, and sustainable energy performance across our growing European operations.
- Monitoring and analysing energy consumption across all hotels within the portfolio
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities in electricity, gas, heating, and water usage
- Developing and implementing energy reduction and efficiency strategies
- Leading negotiations with energy suppliers across multiple European markets
- Optimizing energy purchasing strategies and contract structures
- Ensuring competitive pricing and long-term supply security
- Reviewing and optimizing technical installations such as HVAC, lighting, and building management systems
- Identifying and prioritizing opportunities for energy efficiency investments
- Developing a group-wide energy management strategy and introducing monitoring and benchmarking systems
- Defining measurable targets for energy efficiency and cost reduction across the portfolio
- Leading energy‑saving initiatives and retrofit projects in collaboration with engineers and hotel teams
- Coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure projects deliver measurable financial impact
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Strong experience in energy management, utilities procurement, or building energy optimization
- Professional experience in hospitality, real estate, or multi‑site operations is highly desirable
- Solid technical understanding of HVAC systems, building infrastructure, and energy networks
- Proven experience in negotiating and managing energy supply contracts
- Strong analytical mindset with a clear focus on cost management and efficiency
- Ability to work across multiple countries and coordinate effectively with hotel teams
