Job summary

Experts Group International in Germany seeks a Senior Accountant (m/f/d) to own core accounting activities and help modernise financial processes. You will work with auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders to shape accounting and reporting in a growing organisation.

This role emphasizes process improvement, collaboration, and a proactive approach to optimise accounting standards and controls within a technically driven environment.

Qualifications

• Completed commercial training or a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
• Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in a General Ledger or Senior Accountant role.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in financial statement preparation; proficient with ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for financial accounting, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Asset Accounting.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Participate in the preparation of annual financial statements.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors; ensure internal controls are robust.
• Contribute to process optimisation and digitalisation projects within finance.
• Support continuous improvement of accounting standards and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Full responsibility for financial accounting, including:

• General Ledger
• Accounts Payable
• Asset Accounting
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Active involvement in the preparation of annual financial statements.
• Close cooperation with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Participation in process optimisation and digitalisation projects within the finance function.
• Support continuous improvement of accounting standards, documentation, and internal controls.

Candidate Profile

• Completed commercial training or a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
• Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in a General Ledger or Senior Accountant role.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in financial statement preparation.
• Confident working with ERP/accounting systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office.
• Native or Bilingual German Speaker in addition to English Speaking is essential; French is a plus.
• Independent, precise working style with a strong sense of responsibility.
