Job summary

Westcon-Comstor is seeking an Accountant Lead for the DACH region to deliver accurate monthly reporting, strengthen internal controls, and drive regional financial improvements. This role partners with Shared Service Centers and local finance teams to ensure high-quality outcomes while embedding our Future Ready behaviors.

The position requires qualified accounting credentials (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), German and English fluency, and experience with multi-country accounting, audits, and ERP

• Qualified professional accounting qualification or in progress (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or related field.

Responsibilities

• Execute accurate and timely month-end close for the European region.
• Prepare and review local Balance Sheet reconciliations and reviews.
• Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with Shared Service Centers to complete local journal entries.
• Serve as a point of contact for external auditors during audits.
• Support local finance teams across multiple countries to meet regional requirements.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment across all accounting activities.
• Identify and implement best practices in reporting, reconciliations and controls.
• Contribute to finance process improvements and digital enablement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Close & Reporting

• Execute accurate and timely month-end close for the European region.
• Prepare and review local Balance Sheet reconciliations and reviews.
• Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and statutory requirements.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with Shared Service Centers to ensure all local journal entries are completed.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Qualified accountant (or studying towards) (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in regional or multi-country accounting roles.
• Experience with MS Office Suite (strong Excel skills), PowerBI a plus.
• Strong German & English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Ability to manage audits and maintain robust internal controls.

Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with ERP systems and finance transformation projects.
• Exposure to multinational finance environments.
• Familiarity with internal control frameworks and compliance processes.

Education & Qualifications
