Job summary

The Hoxton Hamburg is seeking a Groups, Meetings & Events Manager to lead our reactive groups and events team, delivering Hoxton brand standards and superb guest experiences.

You will train on operations, manage contracts, invoices and function sheets, and forecast revenues with the Director of Sales to maximise conversion and growth. Build lasting client relationships and champion collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading reactive groups/events in hotels with focus on training and handovers.
• Proven ability to convert enquiries into bookings and hit targets.
• Strong stakeholder management and guest-centric philosophy.

Responsibilities

The Hoxton’s second hotel in Germany is set to open in Hamburg, a city of stunning architecture criss-crossed by hundreds of canals and home to parks, cultural venues and a bustling gastronomic scene. Set as part of the exciting Alter Wall redevelopment project, The Hoxton, Hamburg will feature 188 bedrooms of varying sizes, a large lobby bar and ground floor restaurant, a beautiful rooftop restaurant and The Apartment - The Hoxton’s signature meeting and event space.

We are looking for a Groups, Meetings & Events Managerto join our team at The Hoxton,Hamburg.

Job Description

What you’ll do…

• Lead our busy reactive groups & events team by leading by example and delivering training and support on Hoxton brand standards for all stages of our reactive quoting, contracting and planning journey.
• Have a great understanding of our operation – and support the groups & events team in training on our operation and providing tip‑top handovers to the hotel teams in order to deliver incredible guest experiences.
• Work with the Director of Sales on projects and initiatives to drive conversion and identify opportunities for success.
• Provide forecasting and reporting on revenues and business levels and help turn these into strategies and understanding to support the team maximising conversion, driving revenues, and hitting targets.
• Show your keen eye for detail to use, update and train the team on our booking systems: think tracking and following up on enquiries, generating contracts, invoices and function sheets, inputting details for operational handover, taking deposits and tracking payments and keeping an up‑to‑date database.
• Develop great product knowledge and proactively share this with the team through training and day to day support – become a ‘go to’ person who either knows the answer or where to find it!
• Prioritise developing client relationships and work to truly understand guest needs, while always following up and creating opportunities to develop repeat business.
• Work with the Director of Sales on projects and initiatives to drive conversion and identify opportunities for success.
• Be an ambassador for The Hoxton brand and support the team in keeping the guest experience at the heart of everything we do.
• Actively contribute to a positive team culture as part of a fast‑paced department.
• Build strong relationships and communication with other Hoxton teams, championing positive collaboration across the business.
• Keep your thinking cap on at all times, get creative when problem solving and don’t be afraid to challenge the norm – we want your fresh ideas!
