Job summary

The Hoxton Hamburg is seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team for the new hotel opening. You will inspire and manage staff, ensure spotless rooms, and maintain high standards across all areas in partnership with front desk, maintenance and F&B.

You will be responsible for budgeting, stock control, SOP enforcement and ongoing process improvements, while upholding health and safety policies. A proactive leader with a passion for hospitality will thrive in our collaborative Hoxton

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading housekeeping teams in a hotel setting.
• Experience with hotel openings is a plus.
• Strong eye for detail and standards compliance.
• Ability to manage budgets and stock.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the housekeeping team to ensure spotless, well-presented rooms.
• Manage departmental costs and stock, keeping expenses within budget.
• Maintain high standards for bedrooms and public areas through SOPs and training.
• Collaborate with front office, maintenance and F&B to create memorable guests experiences.
• Oversee partnerships with external housekeeping providers and ensure SOP adherence.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures, and enforce safety policies.
• Monitor housekeeping stock and ensure timely reorders to maintain inventory levels.
• Build long-term relationships with suppliers and contractors to uphold service quality.

We are looking for a Head Housekeeper to join our team at The Hoxton, Hamburg.

Job Description

What you’ll do…

• Take the lead in ensuring our guests experience spotless and well put together rooms that they want to come back to.
• Lead and inspire the housekeeping team by example, creating an environment where they can be themselves, feel supported and empowered and get actively involved in the team’s development to realise their full potential, so we grow together as a Hoxton family.
• Management of departmental costs and ensure that all expenses are kept in line with budget guidelines, managing and control housekeeping stock and monitor orders.
• Take responsibility in keeping our standards for bedrooms and public areas high, through SOPs, relevant training and regular checks.
• Work closely with other teams (front office, maintenance and F&B) towards the overall goal of creating a memorable experience in a beautiful space.
• Play a part in our partnership with our external housekeeping providers.
• Ensure that all hotel standard operating procedures are trained and adhered to.
• Pro-actively identify opportunities to improve and enhance processes and procedures.
• Be fully aware, and competent in, all health and safety procedures and policies.
• Control and management of the housekeeping stock, ensuring all orders are monitored.
• Achieve and maintain the highest possible levels of customer service to both external and internal customers, forging long-term relationships with suppliers and contractors.
