Optimus Search is seeking an experienced Grid Connection Engineer with a strong solar/PV background for a major renewable-energy project near Magdeburg. This 12-month freelance assignment focuses on leading grid-connection activities, reviewing concepts, and coordinating with operators.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in grid connections for PV projects, substations, MV/HV infrastructure, and the ability to work with German grid operators and EPC teams.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as a Grid Connection Engineer / Power Systems Engineer / Electrical Engineer.
• Strong experience within solar PV or renewable energy.
• Experience with grid connections for commercial, industrial or utility-scale PV projects.
• Good understanding of MV/HV electrical infrastructure.
• Experience with substations, transformers, switchgear and protection systems.
• Experience dealing with German grid operators is highly desirable.
• Understanding of grid codes, connection requirements and power-quality requirements.
• Ability to read and review electrical schematics and single-line diagrams.
• Experience supporting commissioning and energisation is advantageous.
• Professional working proficiency in English; German is highly advantageous.

We are looking for an experienced Grid Connection Engineer with a strong solar/PV background to join a major renewable-energy project based near Magdeburg.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced grid engineer who has worked on solar farms, renewable-energy projects, substations or grid connections and wants to take on a long-term freelance assignment.
