JAM, a growing energy consultancy in Berlin, seeks a Senior Grid Connection & Regulatory Consultant to advise major renewable developers, utilities, investors and funds on securing and optimising grid connections for large-scale projects.

You will lead assignments, engage with TSOs/DSOs, and drive growth in the German market through relationships and proposals across grid advisory, flexibility, BESS and energy system optimisation.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years' experience in the German electricity, energy or renewable energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of German grid connections and energy regulation.
• Experience working with German TSOs and/or DSOs.
• Experience with grid connections for renewables, BESS or large-scale infrastructure.
• Knowledge of transmission and distribution networks, technical compliance and grid studies.
• Experience with client management, business development and commercial negotiations;
• Strong communication skills in English; German is highly desirable.
• The right to work in Germany.

Senior Grid Connection & Regulatory Consultant – Germany

A growing energy consultancy is looking for a Senior Grid Connection & Regulatory Consultant to help expand its German advisory business.

This is a senior, client-facing role combining grid connection expertise, German energy regulation and business development. You'll advise major renewable energy developers, utilities, investors and infrastructure funds on securing and optimising grid connections for large-scale energy projects.

Projects will include:

• Onshore & Offshore Wind
• BESS

The Role

You’ll lead grid connection and regulatory assignments, working directly with German TSOs and DSOs to help clients navigate complex connection processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing grid connection processes from initial assessment through to connection.
• Advising on grid capacity, access, curtailment and Redispatch 2.0.
• Reviewing connection offers, agreements and technical documentation.
• Assessing connection costs, grid reinforcement and network capacity.
• Supporting technical and commercial due diligence.
• Advising clients on German energy regulation and grid-related risks.
• Leading negotiations with TSOs and DSOs.

Alongside project delivery, you’ll help grow the German business by developing client relationships, identifying new opportunities and leading proposals across areas such as grid advisory, flexibility, BESS and energy system optimisation.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced professional with:
