Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) is seeking an exceptionally motivated GNC Test Engineer to join the GNC team. The role involves maintaining flight dynamics simulation frameworks, preparing test campaigns, and supporting GNC and flight performance evaluations in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

You will work with colleagues across GNC, Mission Analysis, and Flight Safety to advance simulation-based testing, CI/CD automation, and robust flight algorithms for an ambitious rocket program.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in engineering and/or related discipline. A higher degree is considered advantageous.
• Solid knowledge in MATLAB/Simulink development and modeling.
• Sound knowledge in Python development and data analysis.
• Good understanding of rocket flight dynamics, atmospheric flight, and trajectory modeling.
• Good understanding of guidance, navigation and control (GNC) systems and terminology.
• Experience (2+ years) in software development is considered advantageous.
• Experience in CI/CD automation is considered advantageous.
• Self-independent, creative, and structured way of working.
• Fluent oral and written English skills (all day-to-day activities are performed in English).

About the Team

We are looking for an exceptionally motivated GNC Test Engineer (m/f/d) to join our GNC team. As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating flight dynamics simulation frameworks, preparing test campaigns, as well as supporting GNC and flight performance evaluations.
