Zusammenfassung

Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) is seeking a Propulsion Test Engineer to design and build test setups for propulsion systems, and to perform hands-on bench work required for testing. You will analyze results, develop test procedures, and support propulsion design with real data in a fast-paced, international environment.

The role requires 3+ years in space or aeronautical systems, expertise with pneumatic/hydraulic components, rocket-engine knowledge, and proficiency in control systems.

Qualifikationen

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3+ years work experience in space or aeronautical systems.
  • Experience in operating and maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic components.
  • Hands-on experience from electrical or mechanical projects related to rocketry.
  • Strong understanding of rocket engine systems and fluid dynamics.
  • Strong understanding of sensor systems and instrumentation ideally with NI and Beckhoff equipment.
  • Experience with control systems and software.
  • Hands-on workshop experience is beneficial.
  • Fluent English oral and written.
  • High willingness to travel between RFAs test and launch sites in different countries in Europe for extended periods.

About the Team

Our international and agile team is searching for a motivated Propulsion Test Engineer (f/m/d) to support our Launch & Operations team. Your Tasks

Your Qualifications

  • Experience with control systems and software
  • Hands-on workshop experience is beneficial
  • Fluent English oral and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
  • High willingness to travel between RFAs test and launch sites in different countries in Europe for extended periods of time
