The role is 100% remote within Germany with full ownership of enterprise accounts and a focus on data validation and scalable delivery.

You will audit inputs, refine delivery frameworks, develop onboarding resources, and present decarbonization roadmaps to executives.

About the Role

Established in Berlin, our Climate Tech enterprise equips corporate sustainability divisions with automated workflow solutions, comprehensive CSRD compliance capabilities, and actionable net-zero transition roadmaps. We achieve this by pairing an advanced AI co-pilot with expert human consulting.

We are actively looking for an ambitious, highly proactive Sustainability Consultant (m/f/d) to expand our advisory practice. In this strategic client-facing role, you will take full ownership of corporate accounts, validate AI-generated carbon accounting data, and continuously refine our internal delivery frameworks to support rapid operational scaling.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Advisory Management

• Direct comprehensive enterprise client projects focusing on Corporate Carbon Footprints (CCF), Product Carbon Footprints (PCF), and strategic climate neutrality roadmaps, leveraging our proprietary software tools.

Carbon Accounting & Data Audit

• Audit client operational inputs and primary data to build precise CCF and PCF profiles, carefully validating AI-assisted software calculations and emission factor databases.

Process Standardization

• Analyze, refine, and re-engineer current consulting workflows to eliminate operational bottlenecks, streamline service delivery, and expand overall team capacity.

Customer Success & Education

• Serve as the primary, trusted advisor for client inquiries while actively developing self-service onboarding resources, user guides, and structured knowledge bases.

Executive Presentations

• Structure and present clear, high-impact technical reports, decarbonization roadmaps, and strategic debriefs directly to executive stakeholders and decision-makers.

Cross-Functional Feedback Loop

• Consolidate frontline client feedback, user pain points, and technical requirements into structured feature requests to inform our product engineering roadmap.

Candidate Profile

Required Skills

• Language Proficiency: C2 native or bilingual German fluency (strictly required for client-facing consultations) paired with C1/C2 professional English proficiency.
• Field Experience: A minimum of 2 years of practical experience within sustainability consulting or internal corporate sustainability departments, with a direct focus on CCF, PCF, or Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies.
• Practical Execution: Hands-on experience calculating and constructing carbon accounting metrics (beyond high-level strategy or purely academic coursework).
• Pragmatic Mindset: A pragmatic, execution-focused working style capable of managing complex client deliverables while building automated, scalable processes.
• Project Delivery: Exceptional project management skills paired with a structured, transparent, and articulate communication approach.

Desirable Attributes

• Prior exposure to mid-market enterprise accounts (Mittelstand) or large multinational corporate structures.
• Familiarity with Climate Tech environments, SaaS platforms, or specific retail, consumer goods, and food industry sustainability frameworks.
• Proven background authoring customer onboarding guides, building internal knowledge repositories, or utilizing workflow automation tools.
