CEEZER is building a new climate performance asset business in Germany. We are seeking a Climate Asset Development Lead to own strategy and deal execution across EAC, SAFc, and the secondary carbon market.

You will start solo and scale the team as volume grows, driving supply origination, market insights, and client engagements, while shaping our approach to policy and risk management in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of experience in strategy consulting, VC-backed startups, or similar high-performance environments.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in business, economics, finance, international relations, environmental studies or a related field.
• Experience with climate performance assets, trading, or energy markets is a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and integrity.

We are looking for a Climate Asset Development Lead (f/d/m), You will lead the company’s expansion into climate performance assets by owning our strategy and deal execution across EAC, SAFc, and the secondary carbon market. Starting as a team of one, you'll drive supply origination, provide market expertise to clients, and scale your team alongside business growth.

Your mission

Setting up the strategy for climate performance asset supply access across EAC, SAFc, and the secondary carbon market.

• Evaluate and end-to-end drive the expansion of the company in new climate performance assets, from market assessment to transaction.
• Run the trading of climate performance assets: Ensure supply access, execute deals hands-on, negotiate prices & contracts, and structure complex transactions.
• Lead and grow the Climate Asset Development team, starting with our Climate Asset Trader, setting priorities and building the team as volume grows.
• Establish the company's thought leadership on EAC and SAFc, provide expert insights and ensure the latest policy and market trends translate into strategy and execution company-wide.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, registries, and regulatory bodies and act as our subject-matter expert in client conversations.
• Drive company-wide projects and collaborate closely with key stakeholders across Revenue, Supply, Operations, and Product.
• Collect and structure data, collect quotes, and collaborate with data platforms and intelligence providers as a basis for analyses, forecasts, and decision-making.

What you need to succeed

4+ years of experience in strategy consulting, VC-backed startups, or similar high-performance environments. Experience with any climate performance assets, trading, or energy markets is a plus.

• Exceptional analytical skill set with attention to detail.
• Executional excellence balanced with speed, and comfort taking measured risks within a defined framework.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, strong in building relationships with heterogeneous stakeholders internally and externally. Leadership experience is a plus.
• High ownership, accountability, and integrity, paired with willingness to learn and grow.
• Strong business acumen and commercial hunger.
• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in business, economics, finance, international relations, environmental studies or a related field is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required.
• A valid work permit in Germany.
