Job summary

Ignite. in Berlin, Germany, is seeking a proactive Sustainability Consultant (m/f/d) to lead enterprise client engagements, review carbon calculations, and optimize advisory processes for scale.

You will work across Corporate Carbon Footprints and Product Carbon Footprints, ensuring data accuracy, delivering concise executive updates, and shaping feature requests for our sustainability SaaS platform.

Qualifications

• German (C2) fluent for client-facing work

• Minimum 2 years in sustainability advisory or in-house sustainability

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise client projects focused on CCF/PCF and climate-roadmaps powered by our software
• Review client data to construct CCF/PCF profiles and verify AI-based calculations
• Analyze and re-engineer advisory methodologies to remove bottlenecks and increase capacity
• Serve as primary contact for client queries and build self-service resources
• Deliver concise executive presentations and technical debriefs to leadership
• Translate client feedback into structured feature requests for product roadmap

About the Role

Founded in Berlin, our Climate Tech firm equips corporate sustainability departments with automated process tools, CSRD reporting capabilities, and actionable net-zero strategies using an advanced AI co-pilot supplemented by specialist human consulting.

We are seeking a highly proactive Sustainability Consultant (m/f/d) to join our growing advisory branch. You will take charge of corporate client engagements, review software-generated carbon calculations, and continuously optimize our operational frameworks for scale.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Advisory Management: Lead enterprise client projects centered on Corporate Carbon Footprints (CCF), Product Carbon Footprints (PCF), and climate neutrality roadmaps powered by our software.
• Carbon Accounting & Data Audit: Review client operational data to construct exact CCF and PCF profiles, verifying AI-based software calculations and emission factor selections.
• Process Standardization: Analyze and re-engineer advisory methodologies to remove operational bottlenecks and increase delivery capacity across the team.
• Customer Success & Education: Act as a central point of contact for client queries, while building self-service help resources and structured knowledge repositories.
• Executive Presentations: Deliver concise, high-impact presentations and technical debriefs to senior leadership teams.
• Cross-Functional Feedback Loop: Translate client insights and platform challenges into structured feature requests for our internal product development roadmap.

Required Skills

• Language Proficiency: C2-level German fluency (mandatory for client-facing operations) alongside professional English proficiency (C1/C2).
• Field Experience: At least 2 years of practical experience in sustainability advisory or internal corporate sustainability functions, focusing explicitly on CCF, PCF, or LCA methodologies.
• Practical Execution: Verified experience personally constructing and computing carbon accounting metrics (beyond purely theoretical or managerial roles).
• Pragmatic Mindset: Hands-on operational approach with the ability to manage routine client deliverables while establishing automated processes.
• Project Delivery: Top-tier project management skills combined with a clear, concise, and structured communication manner.

Desirable Attributes

• Exposure to middle-market enterprise clients or multinational corporate environments.
• Practical knowledge in Climate-Tech, SaaS platforms, or retail and food industry sustainability frameworks.
• Experience creating customer onboarding materials, knowledge bases, or using digital process automation software.
