A well-established multinational manufacturer is currently recruiting a German-Speaking Office Manager to work in their Düsseldorf office.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting expatriates, managing HR policy, and overseeing a wide range of office management and general affairs duties.
The role will suit someone with experience in office administration, HR, or general affairs, with strong team management skills.
Business level fluency in English and German is required in the role. Japanese language skill is beneficial but not necessary.

German-Speaking Office Manager – Main Responsibilities:
• Team management – supervise, evaluate, and train administrative staff (2 members)
• Expatriate support – assist with visa/work permit applications, housing arrangements, bank account setup, relocation support as needed
• HR support – recruitment, training, onboarding, HR policy management
• Office management – oversee office facilities, equipment, IT vendor coordination, office layout, and working environment
• Labour management – contracts, leave, attendance management for local staff.
• General affairs – manage company cars, mobile phones, mail and courier arrangements, contracts with agencies (travel, insurance, etc.), safety and health matters, internal/external events
• Support for document signature processes (contracts, approvals)
•Other ad-hoc tasks


German-Speaking Office Manager – Ideal Candidate:
• Business level fluency in English and German
• Japanese language skills are a plus but not essential
• Experience in team management is essential
• Previous experience in office administration, general affairs, or HR is essential
• Experience working in a Japanese company is an advantage
• Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office)
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
