Bavarian International School gAG in Germany seeks a qualified German educator to teach German Language Acquisition within the IB framework. Native or near-native German and strong English communication are essential. IB MYP/DP experience is desirable, with credentials recognized by Bavarian Education Authorities.

The role involves planning engaging lessons, ongoing assessment, and collaboration with parents and staff in a diverse, international setting.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise classes to ensure safe, productive learning with respectful behaviour guidelines.
• Evaluate and document students' progress on school platforms, including formative and summative assessments.
• Prepare progress, interim and end-of-year reports and organize classroom resources.
• Differentiate teaching methods to meet diverse needs and guide students with academic concerns.
• Confer with parents, mentors and teachers to resolve behavioural and academic issues.
• Attend parent-teacher meetings and maintain ongoing contact with parents as needed.

Our salary range is based on the current salary scalesdefined in our works agreement.The placement on the scale is evaluated according to the years of relevant experience after full qualification.

Your duties

• Plan and deliver lessons with clear objectives which are communicated explicitly to students, within a balanced programme of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities for inquiry
• Supervise classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment and establish and maintain respectful behaviour guidelines and procedures
• Evaluate and document students' progress in a timely, accurate and complete manner in the currently agreed upon school digital platforms including preparing, delivering, marking and giving feedback on formative and summative assessments as per the requirements of the specific IB programme
• Prepare progress, interim and end of year reports and organise classroom supplies and resources
• Differentiate teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests and guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic problems, or special academic interests
• Confer with parents or guardians, pastoral leaders, mentors, other teachers, counsellors, learning support and leadership to resolve students' behavioural and academic problems
• Attend parent-teacher meetings and conferences and maintain ongoing contact with parents as needed with regard to academic and behavioural concerns and where praise is due

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree (minimum) in German, or Education
• Teaching qualification and demonstrated experience teaching German Language Acquisition
• Desired experience in IB MYP and/or DP
• Native or near-native fluency in German and strong English communication skills are essential
• Certification: Up-to-date credentials required for the assigned teaching position. These credentials must be issued by a national or state certification board or its equivalent, and this credential must be recognized by the Bavarian Education Authorities
• Pedagogical Excellence: Proven ability to deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that develop language proficiency (minimum 2 years)
