Primary School German Teacher (f/m/d) – Maternity/Parental Leave Replacement

Full‑time, temporary, fixed‑term contract. Start 1 August 2026 for the 2026/27 academic year. The position involves 30 teaching units per week (40 working hours). Salary €55,059–61,885 gross per year, plus CPI‑based adjustments and potential responsibility stipends.

Location: Kleinmachnow (Berlin region). Working Hours: 30 teaching units per week / 40 working hours per week. Vacation: up to 180 teaching days per school year, totaling 187 work days. Contract tied to the duration of the maternity/parental leave of the current holder.

Responsibilities

• Instruction: Teach German (Language and Literature and German Language Acquisition) to primary students (Grades 1–5) within the IB PYP framework.
• Development: Support concept‑based inquiry in German teaching, plan, assess, and report against clear learning outcomes.
• Inclusion: Work in an inclusive environment with a diverse cohort, differentiating to accommodate individual learning needs.
• Support: Promote student well‑being in the German classroom and beyond, fostering confidence in foundational content, skills, and understandings.
