Job summary

Mind, a global automotive components manufacturer, seeks an experienced General Ledger professional in Munich to own the full GL cycle in a live manufacturing environment. You will work with Plant Management and the international HQ finance team to ensure timely, accurate reporting in German GAAP and international IFRS where applicable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing (automotive components a strong plus).
• Proven ownership of general ledger and month-end closing.
• Hands-on SAP FI/CO experience; S/4HANA is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of German GAAP (HGB); DATEV experience a plus.
• Business-fluent English; able to operate in an international matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Own the full general ledger cycle: journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end / quarter-end / year-end closing
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations; safeguard data integrity
• Coordinate statutory reporting under German GAAP (HGB) together with our external tax advisor (Steuerberater)
• Manage fixed asset accounting, inventory valuation, and intercompany transactions
• Partner with cost accounting on product costing and variance analysis
• Support VAT filings and tax compliance coordination with external advisors
• Actively drive process improvements in daily accounting operations, working hands-on in SAP
• Liaise with HQ finance in an international, English-speaking environment

The Role

You own the plant's general ledger end to end. Working closely with the Plant Management and our international HQ finance team, you ensure accurate, timely, and fully compliant financial reporting in a live manufacturing environment.
