You will define financial policies and coordinate with cross-functional teams to support operations and strategy. Ideal candidates have 3+ years as an accountant in manufacturing, fluent German and at least B2 English, and solid knowledge of accounting

Qualifikationen

• University degree completed in a relevant field.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Confident with German accounting regulations, especially HGB.
• At least 3 years of professional accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with MS Dynamics is a plus.
• Fluent German and at least B2 level English.
• Knowledge of Polish, Ukrainian or Russian is advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Determine and monitor accounting policy.
• Prepare monthly reports (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow).
• Prepare data for tax advisor for tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and internal policies.
• Coordinate year-end closing and liaise with external auditors.
• Manage general ledger activities, including reconciliations, journal entries and accruals.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes for accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial risks.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with reliable financial data.
• Collaborate with production and procurement to align financial procedures with operations.

Responsibilities

• Determination and monitoring of accounting policy
• Sound knowledge of tax and commercial law
• Preparation of monthly reports (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow)
• Preparation of data for the tax advisor for the calculation and submission of tax returns
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and internal financial policies.
• Coordinate year-end closing activities and liaise with external auditors during audits.
• Manage general ledger activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor and manage company cash flow, working capital, and financial risks.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with reliable financial data and insights.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g. production, procurement) to align financial procedures with operational needs.

Requirements

• Completed university degree in a relevant field
• To have worked in a manufacturing environment is big preference
• Sound knowledge of the principles of proper accounting
• Confident handling of German accounting regulations, in particular HGB
• At least 3 years of professional experience as an accountant, ideally in a manufacturing company
• Experience with MS Dynamics is an advantage
• Fluent German, English at least at B2 level
• Knowledge of Polish, Ukrainian or Russian is an advantage
