Your mission
Join us as a Frontend Team Lead and help us drive the React migration while managing a high-performing team of frontend engineers in our Pricing domain. You will be part of a team of 80 Frontend engineers and managers shaping the financial app that will be used by one million SMEs by 2025.
As a Lead Frontend, your team will be composed of 5 Frontend Engineers working closely with Product, Backend and Mobile engineers within feature teams. You'll be joining at an exciting time as we complete our React migration with an ambitious close deadline.
Responsibilities
- People Management:
- Manage a team of 5 Frontend Engineers, spending approximately 80% of your time on management activities and 20% on coding
- Foster the professional and technical growth of your teammates through mentorship, pairing, and delegation
- Provide regular feedback to your team members through 1:1s and progress reviews
- Build a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team culture
- Conduct interviews to hire new team members
- Technical Leadership & Delivery:
- Lead the React migration initiative with a challenging deadline, ensuring smooth transition from Ember.js
- Drive the delivery of your Frontend team to ensure quality is shipped on time on well-scoped projects to meet business objectives
- Embrace and promote GenAI tools within your team to enhance productivity and development workflows
- Manage stakeholder relationships across Product, Backend, and Mobile teams within your cross-functional team, focusing on complex monetization features
- Establish and use engineering best practices to ensure high quality
- Contribute to improving the Web team's operating system
- You will also contribute to making Qonto shine by writing blog articles or speaking at events
The Web team strives for excellence in management: we developed a comprehensive management training program from scratch in only five weeks. This program is now used by several Tech teams to fast-track engineers to leadership positions.

You will report to Adrien Cadet, Head of Mobile & Web for the Systems & Monetization domain.
About you
- People Management Experience: Meaningful experience as a team manager or challenges requiring people skills, balancing hands-on technical work with leadership.
- Delivery Excellence: Proven track record of delivering quality on time on well-scoped projects; balance speed with quality under tight deadlines.
- React Expertise: Strong hands-on React experience; at least four years in frontend JS frameworks. Ember experience is not required.
- AI Openness: Familiarity with GenAI tools and their application in development.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent cross-team collaboration with Product, Backend, and Mobile teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset: Drive improvements within your team and organization.
