Job summary

Leonardo Hotels Head Office Berlin is seeking a Financial Reporting & Capex Analyst to support IFRS, German GAAP, and monthly closing processes. You will analyse financial results, coordinate inputs between the German head office and other country finance teams, and monitor capital expenditure projects across the hotel portfolio.

Ideal candidates hold a finance-related degree, ACCA, strong analytical skills and proficient IFRS/HGB knowledge, with fluent German and English (C1).

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Business Administration or related field.
• ACCA qualification.
• Knowledge of IFRS and HGB / German GAAP reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• German and English language skills (C1).

Responsibilities

• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting for German entities.
• Prepare and review reporting packages under IFRS, management reporting, and HGB / German GAAP.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Analyse financial results, variances, and key movements versus budget, forecast, and prior periods.
• Support reconciliations between local statutory accounts, IFRS reporting, and management reporting.
• Coordinate financial reporting inputs between the German head office and finance teams in another country.
• Monitor intercompany balances, reporting consistency, allocations, and financial flows between Germany and other jurisdictions.
• Support internal controls, reporting discipline, and documentation of key financial processes.
• Monitor refurbishment, renovation and capital expenditure projects across the hotel portfolio.
• Track actual project costs against approved budgets and identify variances.
• Follow project progress against approved timelines and milestones.
• Review project spent against financing agreements, purchase agreements and approved business plans.
• Monitor contractor claims, budget overruns, scope changes and key project risks.
• Coordinate with project managers, banks, asset managers, hotel operations and external advisors.
• Prepare recommendations and escalation points where corrective action is required.

Your Main Duties

Investment & Transaction Analysis

• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting for German entities
