Siemens Energy is seeking a Finance professional to support the carve-out of Transformation of Industry from an FP&A perspective, coordinating organizational changes and preparing the future FP&A setup. You will report to the VP FP&A and work with the management team to shape governance and reporting architecture.
The role may evolve toward a Center of Excellence, with opportunities to influence data, tools, and process standardization across planning, forecasting, and closing.
Siemens Energy and Siemens Gamesa are becoming Omterra. "We energize society" by supporting our customers to make the transition to a more sustainable world, based on innovative technologies and our ability to turn ideas into reality. With nearly 100,000 employees around the world, we shape the energy systems of today and tomorrow.
Department: SE FIN TI BC
Mode of Employment: Full Time or Part Time / Permanent
For the first 18-24 months this role has one clear focus: accompanying the carve-out of Transformation of Industry and supporting preparations for a potential future FP&A organization, hand in hand with the management team. On 25 August 2026 Siemens Energy announced preparations for the legal and operational separation of Transformation of Industry into a standalone company, a fast-growing business with around 17,000 employees, €6 billion of revenue and a double-digit profit margin.
At the moment, the central Business Controlling team of Transformation of Industry is preparing to evolve towards a potential Corporate FP&A department for a future standalone company, which could bring together more than 100 finance professionals. Its possible target organization, processes and reporting architecture are still being explored, and you will contribute to this work. You report directly to the Vice President of FP&A and work alongside the management team. The role asks you to hold two hats at once: you coordinate and organize the transformation centrally, the way a program office does, and at the same time you go deep into the content - preparing and challenging the decisions yourself and then carrying them into the organization.
A potential new team - the Center of Excellence - may grow out of this work: as the future organization develops, you help prepare a dedicated team that could bundle cross-cutting topics across the different FP&A teams, including standardized data and reporting, shared tools and systems, automation, process improvement and AI. Subject to the future setup and related decisions, the role may offer a path toward taking on team leadership responsibility for this unit.
In our Business Functions we enable our organization to reach their targets by providing best-in class services and solutions in the areas of IT, HR, Finance, Real Estate, Strategy & Technology and more.
