FORTÉ Germany GmbH sucht einen Finance Manager, der als Allrounder Finanzen, Buchhaltung und Controlling verantwortet. Sie arbeiten eng mit Geschäftsführung, operativen Teams und externen Steuerberatern zusammen und steuern Reporting, Forecasting sowie Projektreporting.

Sie bringen mehrjährige Erfahrung in Finance, Accounting oder Controlling mit, beherrschen HGB und Reportingprozesse und kommunizieren regelmäßig auf Englisch mit dem US-Finance-Team.

Qualifikationen

• Erfahrungen in Finanzen, Buchhaltung oder Controlling in einem projektorientierten Unternehmen.
• Fundierte Kenntnisse in HGB und Accounting-Standardprozessen.
• Starke Reporting-, Budgetierungs- und Forecasting-Fähigkeiten.
• Ausgeprägte Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse, regelmäßiger Kontakt zur US-Finance.

Aufgaben

• Verantwortung für monatliches Reporting, Budgetplanung und Forecasting.
• Finanz- und Rechnungswesen, inklusive Jahresabschlüsse nach HGB, in Abstimmung mit Steuerabteilung.
• Projektcontrolling mit Margin- und Beitragsanalysen; Transparenz über Kostenentwicklung.
• Koordination der Berichte mit dem internationalen Finance-Team (USA).

As Finance Manager, you will be our finance all-rounder and responsible for the finance issues of our German company. You will combine operational cooperation in finance and accounting with reporting, forecasting and the financial management of our project-oriented business.

You will work closely with our management, the operational teams and our external tax office. At the same time, you will be the central interface to our finance team in the USA and ensure reliable and transparent international reporting.

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the finance issues of our German company. In doing so, you will combine operational cooperation with management, analysis and further development.

Reporting & Controlling

• Responsibility for meaningful reporting as well as budget planning and forecasting
• Preparation of business evaluations and analyses for the management
• Project controlling including target/actual comparisons, margin and contribution margin analyses
• Creation of transparency about the economic development of our projects

Finance & Accounting

• Responsibility for a timely and reliable monthly financial statement
• Management and monitoring of monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) in close coordination with our tax office
• Ensuring the quality and adherence to deadlines of the financial statements prepared by the tax office
• Support with operational accounting and finance tasks
• Technical support for provisions and asset accounting
• Processing of VAT issues as well as coordination of more complex issues with our tax office
• Checking and approving invoices

International Cooperation & Processes

• Responsibility for a timely and reliable monthly financial statement
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal guidelines
• Preparation and transfer of the German financial data for reporting to our US Finance team
• Coordination of reporting requirements and queries with international finance colleagues
• Central contact person for our external tax office
• Continuous improvement of existing finance processes and participation in the further development of our ERP system

What you bring to the table

• Successfully completed business studies with a focus on accounting, finance or controlling or further training as an accountant (IHK) or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting or controlling
• Experience in a project-oriented company
• Sound understanding of finance and accounting processes as well as good to very good knowledge of German accounting (HGB)
• Experience in working with tax advisors or external finance service providers
• Experience in reporting as well as budgeting and forecasting
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills – you communicate regularly with our US Finance team and prepare reports in English
• Very good Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
• Analytical and structured way of working, personal responsibility and hands-on mentality

That's a plus

• Initial experience with IFRS, especially in connection with international reporting
• Experience with BI or reporting tools, e.g. Power BI
• Experience in optimizing finance processes or ERP systems
