Job summary

Telepath in Germany is seeking a Finance & Accounting professional to lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support growth and profitability.

You will manage daily transactions, month-end and year-end closing, VAT and withholding tax compliance, and deliver accurate P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analyses while collaborating with internal teams to optimize accounting workflows and support business expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management (e-commerce experience a plus).
• Strong understanding of financial KPIs, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong time management skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data, track KPIs, and provide strategic recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.

Job description

Finance & Accounting:

• Financial Strategy & Analysis: Analyze financial data, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide strategic recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency. Identify financial risks and opportunities to support business growth.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and scenario analyses to guide decision-making. Monitor financial performance and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Financial & Accounting Reporting: Prepare and analyze profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Summarize revenue from online and offline platforms, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Daily Transactions & Account Management: Record income, expenses, and transactions in the accounting system. Verify and reconcile revenue, payments, and transfers from online platforms.
• Tax & Compliance: Prepare VAT, withholding tax reports, and ensure tax compliance. Verify financial documents, receipts, and invoices.
• Month-End & Year-End Closing: Reconcile accounts, close financial statements, and ensure accuracy in reporting.

Collaboration & System Improvement:

• Work with internal teams to align accounting data with sales and financial records.
• Liaise with tax authorities, banks, and online sales platform providers.
• Optimize accounting workflows and financial systems to improve efficiency and support business growth.
