Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission and maintain wafer probers at customer sites. You will handle preventive and corrective maintenance, train customers, and document service activities across EMEAI regions.

The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, a relevant engineering degree, and fluency in German and English. Travel and a driving license are expected, with opportunities for technical growth and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineer or technician background in electrical engineering, automation technology or similar.
• 2–4 years of related experience; ideally in Silicon Photonics and/or semiconductor test.
• Detail-oriented work and strong problem-solving skills.
• Accurate, punctual, good team and interpersonal skills.
• Good communication skills in German and English both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Install & commission probers and accessories at customer sites.
• Perform preventive & corrective maintenance.
• Prepare commissioning protocols and acceptance reports.
• Provide technical training to customers.
• Troubleshoot and repair probers remotely and on-site.
• Document work orders and service calls per FormFactor guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments for product improvement.
• Participate in qualification measures.
• Adhere to health and safety requirements during service visits.
