EFI in Germany is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join the service team in the Frankfurt area. This hands‑on role involves traveling within Germany, Switzerland, and neighboring countries to fix, install, and support EFI wide‑format digital printing machines.

You will be the customer advocate, ensuring satisfaction and contributing to product upselling. You will drive to customers, install machines, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, and pneumatic issues.

Qualifikationen

• Relevant technical apprenticeship or technical qualification or degree in electrical/instrumentation/mechanical/process disciplines preferred.
• Good knowledge in mechanical and electrical skills.
• Good communication skills in German and English.
• Willingness to stay overnight near our clients during training sessions and at trade shows.
• Up to 3 years post‑qualification experience in a service or similar position servicing complex electro‑mechanical devices.
• Ability to work independently with minimal back‑up when necessary.

Aufgaben

Field Service Engineer (m/f/x)

EFI is looking for a Field Service Engineer (m/f/x) to join our service team in Germany, based in the Frankfurt area. This is a hands‑on role, on the field in Germany, Switzerland, and neighboring countries, being in contact with our customers to fix, install, and support EFI wide‑format digital printing machines. We have a good range of printing machines within the VuteK line. You will be the customer advocate, and your role is key in ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing further to EFI product upselling.

What you will do

As a Field Service Engineer, you will drive to customers, install the printing machines, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, and pneumatic issues. No day will be the same, and helping the customers on a daily basis will give you a feeling of satisfaction. Sometimes the support to customers can be done remotely via phone or computer. We also require your help with set‑up, calibrations, demonstration, and tear‑down during trade‑shows and printing exhibitions.

This role requires you to work independently and build good relationships with owners, managers, and users on the customer side, while being supported by your team remotely.

Wide‑format printing industry is an interesting area with lots of things to learn. You should bring the following skills:
