Zusammenfassung

TOMRA Food is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join the EMEA service team. You will install, commission, and maintain TOMRA sorting machines at customer sites and support with training and best practices for daily operation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of field service in mechanical environments, fluent English and German, and a valid driving license. Travel across Germany and occasionally other European countries is required.

Qualifikationen

• Mechanical education: secondary diploma or proven practical experience in a mechanical field service role.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Field Service Engineer roles.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems (pneumatics, hydraulics, rotating equipment).
• Fluency in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Germany and nearby countries.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, upgrades, and retrofits.

• Collaborate with service, engineering, and sales teams to deliver a high-quality customer experience.

Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be part of the EMEA service team and will report to the Field Service Team leader. With "Safety first" mindset throughout the daily work both at company and our customer sites you will:

• Install, commission, and maintain TOMRA sorting machines at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electromechanical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, upgrades, and retrofits.
• Support customers with training and best practices for daily machine operation.
• Document service activities and provide clear feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues across service, engineering, and sales to deliver a high-quality customer experience.

Qualifications

• Mechanical education (Requires secondary education diploma, preferably a subject-specific diploma) or proven practical experience in a mechanical field service role.
• Minimum5 years of experience in Field Service Engineer
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems (pneumatics, hydraulics, rotating equipment).
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and controls preferred.
• Fluent in English and German; additional languages are an advantage.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Willingness to travel across mostly Germany (Austria, Switzerland, and occasionally other European countries - travel planned in advance).
• Comfortable working in industrial environments and on customer sites.
• Independent, proactive, and solution-oriented.
• Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
