Via in the Frankfurt region is seeking a Field Manager to lead daily on-site operations for our RMV services, ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for riders. You will own field processes, work across teams, and drive improvements using data, AI, and automation.

You will manage a hands-on team, mentor drivers, collaborate with partners and central teams, and translate rider feedback into concrete changes.

As a Field Manager on Via’s Operations team, you are the force that keeps our services running reliably for the communities that depend on them. This is a high-ownership, boots-on-the-ground role where you'll lead the daily operations of our on-demand RMV services across the greater Frankfurt area, tackle real-time challenges, and ensure our riders are transported safely and reliably.

A big part of the role is optimizing how our field team and service operate: using data to quickly answer operational questions, identify opportunities, improve processes, and lead AI and automation projects. You'll have a unique opportunity to combine hands-on operations with innovation and help shape the future of on-demand passenger transportation in the region.

This role is based in the greater Frankfurt area, with the expectation that you will be on-site at least 3 days per week

What You'll Do:

• Run daily onsite operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for our riders.
• Drive continuous optimization across the field team and service, leveraging data, technology, AI, and automation - including leading AI projects from idea to implementation.
• Make real-time decisions on fleet, driver supply, compliance, rider needs, and unexpected issues - using data to quickly diagnose problems and keep service running smoothly.
• Guide and support drivers, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities to improve field team performance.
• Turn rider and community feedback into actionable improvements, using data to spot patterns and address root causes.
• Act as the bridge between Via's partners, drivers, and Via central teams, quickly pulling data to answer questions, solve problems, and drive improvements.

Who You Are:

• Operationally experienced in people management, logistics, customer service, or other process-oriented work.
• Relationship-oriented and a strong communicator, able to build trust with drivers, riders, teammates, and city partners and find the right tone at every level.
• Hands-on and proactive, comfortable taking responsibility for employees, being in the field, and solving problems where they happen - even under pressure.
• Data-driven, structured, and digitally savvy, using analytics and AI tools to solve problems, prioritize effectively, and improve our services.
• Tactical and strategic, able to tackle issues in real time while thinking ahead and building solutions that prevent them from recurring.
• Your German language skills are at least C1 level and your English is fluent
• You have a valid drivers license in Germany, class B
