JD.COM is seeking a qualified Project Delivery professional for on-site implementation of warehouse automation solutions in Europe. You will oversee installation, integration, and commissioning of shuttle systems, conveyors, AGVs, lifts, and related equipment, ensuring adherence to contract specs and quality standards.
The role requires strong technical knowledge, ability to read electrical schematics, and experience with PLC-based control systems, along with travel across Europe.
Participate in and follow up on on-site installation, system integration & commissioning, acceptance testing, and handover of logistics and warehousing automation equipment (including four-way shuttles, conveyors, shuttle cars, lifts/hoists, AGVs, etc.), ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and in compliance with contractual technical specifications and quality standards.
Participate in the preparation of technical implementation plans during the project delivery phase, including electrical design, reading and understanding of construction drawings, commissioning planning, and assisting with cost budget estimation, providing technical support for project bidding and execution.
Assist in tracking on-site implementation progress, coordinate internal and external resources (suppliers, contractors, clients, etc.), monitor key milestone nodes, identify delivery risks, and assist in developing mitigation measures to ensure projects advance on plan.
Compile and organize equipment failure points and commissioning issues encountered during project delivery into a knowledge base; create and update electrical maintenance manuals and delivery acceptance documentation to drive standardization of delivery processes.
Conduct equipment operation, maintenance, and technical training for internal and external clients; complete knowledge transfer and technical handover after project delivery to ensure clients are equipped with independent operation and maintenance capabilities.
Full-time Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related fields; experience in warehouse automation logistics equipment project delivery or commissioning is preferred; candidates with end-to-end project delivery experience are preferred.
Basic understanding of the electrical control principles and commissioning procedures of logistics automation equipment such as four-way shuttles, lifts/hoists, conveyors, and AGVs; experience in delivering large-scale warehouse automation projects (e.g., automated storage and retrieval systems, sorting centers) is preferred.
Basic understanding of Siemens PLC (or other equivalent mainstream brands) programming and commissioning principles; foundational knowledge of industrial bus protocols such as Profinet, EtherCAT, and CANopen; ability to read electrical schematic diagrams; candidates with relevant coursework projects, graduation projects, or internship experience in PLC or automation are preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork skills; good English proficiency (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) with the ability to use English as a working language; German proficiency is a plus; cross-cultural collaboration skills with the ability to effectively engage European clients and local teams.
Diligent, detail-oriented, and skilled at summarizing and reviewing; ability to work under pressure; willing to undertake both short- and long-term business travel and on-site project assignments within Europe.
