You will configure and commission PLC systems (CODESYS, TIA Portal, TwinCAT), integrate HMI/SCADA, and mentor junior programmers while ensuring quality and on‑time delivery. Fluent German and English are required for cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Review customer specifications and clarify ambiguities with the customer.
• Define system architecture, interfaces and control requirements.
• Prepare technical specifications and BOMs.
• Support proposal and costing through technical concepts.
• Select and procure components and manage third‑party suppliers as needed.
• Carry out technical design per Emerson PMO processes (design freeze).
• Program, configure and commission PLC systems (TIA Portal, TwinCAT, CODESYS).
• Ensure integration with HMI, SCADA, MES and cloud platforms.
• Support FAT and troubleshooting; lead on‑site commissioning.
• Maintain technical and quality documentation; mentor PLC programmers and deliver training.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, requirements and project scope, and liaise with the customer to clarify ambiguities (KOMs, technical queries, clarification of deviations)
• Define system architecture, interfaces and control requirements
• Prepare technical specifications and bill of materials (BOM)
• Support proposal and costing activities through technical concepts
• Select and procure components from Emerson and third‑party vendors and, where required, manage third‑party suppliers (design reviews, follow‑up, escalations)
• Carry out technical design in accordance with Emerson PMO processes (including design freeze)
• Program, configure and commission PLC systems (TIA Portal, TwinCAT, CODESYS)
• Ensure integration with HMI, SCADA, MES and cloud platforms
• Support factory acceptance tests (FAT) and troubleshooting
• Lead on‑site commissioning and resolve technical issues
• Maintain technical and quality documentation
• Mentor PLC programmers and provide technical consulting, and deliver technical training for them and for customers as required
• Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience working with PLC controllers (CODESYS, TIA, TwinCAT), programming methodologies (e.g. IEC 61131-3), fieldbus and Ethernet networks, HMI integration and SCADA programming
• Experience with Linux, SQL, Docker, MQTT and OPC UA
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong customer focus and communication skills
• Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
